CHILDREN'S SERVICES
The Children's Department at the DPL has a diverse collection of books, movies, and other resources devoted specifically to children and young adults. We have a children's librarian and library assistant with special knowledge of the collection and offer many fun and educational programs. For more information, call (781) 751-9283 or email Pat Reilly at preilly@minlib.net (MAIN Library), or Megan Ciccarello (781) 751-9178, mciccarello@minlib.net (ENDICOTT Branch).
Programs
The Children’s Department offers a wide variety of programs – including storytimes, creative writing classes, teddy bear picnics, and special summer events. Storytimes are a perennial favorite.
Storytimes
The Dedham Public Library offers annual Spring and Fall storytime sessions. These generally run for six to eight weeks and require in-person registration.
Drop-In Storytimes, which do not require registration, are held during other times of the year.
For October 2007, we offer Storytimes at the Main Library and Endicott Branch.
