ENDICOTT BRANCH

ABOUT US

The Endicott Branch of the Dedham Public Library is a full service branch located on the
Endicott Estate in Dedham.

It offers a strong collection of adult fiction, children's, and young adult literature, and can get any other needed titles from the Minuteman network.

There is always a librarian available, as well as a staff of library assistants and pages.

For staff, hours, and directions, please refer to their individual pages or our site map.

PROGRAMS AND SERVICES

Endicott does have wireless internet access for wi-fi enabled laptop computers.

Almost all the services and programs provided by the Main Library are also provided by Endicott: storytimes, book groups, book requests, reference, etc.

Endicott does, however, have a few unique programs of its own:

Door-to-Door Library Service

If you are unable to visit the library in person, you can request free delivery service.
You can request specific materials, general topics or have the library staff make recommendations, and can keep the materials for six weeks or more.

Every other Wednesday, volunteers make home deliveries with your items.

To register, call the Endicott Branch at (781) 751-9178 or email mciccarello@minlib.net.

Meeting Room

The Community Room at the Endicott Branch Library is intended for community programs. It is also available for reading-related activities and quiet study. Library programs include storytimes for young children and adult book discussion groups.

Quiet study may include pairs of tutors and students, and we ask that people using this space when tutoring is in progress be respectful of this fact.

If you wish to use the room for a program, please call the Endicott staff at (781) 751-9178 and check to see if the room is available.

Non-library programs held in the Community Room must be approved by Megan Ciccarello / mciccarello@minlib.net.

Staff reserves the right to ask patrons to leave the community Room if their behavior is not in keeping with the Library’s “Patrons’ Rights and Responsibilities Policy.”

There is a non-handicapped space at the Main Library which may be used for larger groups upon approval of the Library Director.

Please call (781) 751-9288 to inquire about the meeting room at the Main.

Museum Passes

Endicott has its own passes to the Museum of Science, Museum of Fine Arts, and Children's Museum. You can pick them up any time the library is open on a first come, first-serve reservation basis. The same guidelines apply as for the passes from the Main.

Scrabble Night

One Thursday night each month, Endicott hosts Scrabble Night. Patrons can bring their own Scrabble games - or other games too! - and play until closing. Patrons often bring a small dessert and share during the game playing . . . Refreshments are always welcome.
